I had the honor of being a guest on the popular podcast Asian America: the Ken Fong Podcast, speaking on some familiar topics such as mental healthiness and parenting. However, what was different about this experience was that I was able to also share from the perspective of some important aspects of my personal identity as an Asian American and as a Progressive Christian.

That’s four topics that independently are worthwhile and fascinating conversations. We managed to weave them all together into one stimulating talk.

Now to some people, a conversation that integrates mental health, wellbeing, neuroscience, psychology, cultural identity, and religion might seem like an odd mix. Perhaps. But perhaps only because these conversations don’t happen often enough or publicly enough — but not because there aren’t natural intersections between therapy and spirituality, or mental wellness and personal identity.

I hope I’ve piqued your curiosity.
